Kelvin Business School also offers Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) courses, in what we have branded "HNQ+PLUS". Higher National Qualifications + PLUS a melody of work placements and project work for a real product or service. This is one of the unique features of KBS. Our HNQ+PLUS directory is both extensive and detailed.

Kelvin Business School also offers international and overseas students the opportunity to study preparation courses including a Pre-Masters and a 1 Month Pre-MBA and a large selection of English Language development programmes. A selection of programmes are available from our English Language Teaching department at the Faculty of Undergraduate Business Studies.

The kbs MBA
The Kelvin Business School intensive 1 Year MBA offers everything you would expect from a world-class programme. Rigorous and flexible, combing strong core curricula with a wide selection of specialist electives developing essential business knowledge, while allowing students to explore personal interests. Throughout the programme, classroom learning is complemented by practical experiences accentuating leadership, communication, and collaborative skills. During the first semester of the MBA, the core curriculum teaches critical skills including finance, marketing, executive leadership and operations. Students build on this base by selecting from a choice of elective classes. The breadth and depth of the core and electives mean students can take either a multidisciplinary approach or delve deeply into a single subject area. MBA Fees and Scholarships
Tuition Fees
Standard annual tuition fees are given below. Please check with the admissions office for current yearly fees which apply to the course you wish to follow.

• Full Time UK, EU and Overseas: 8,770 Pounds Sterling
• Part Time UK, EU and Overseas: 4,830 Pounds Sterling
• Open Learning: 3,530 Pounds Sterling
• Distance Learning: 2,990 Pounds Sterling
• On-line (Available Sep 2007): TBD

Scholarships
Several Scholarships awards are available from Kelvin Business School to exceptionally talented students. There are two categories of awards, entrance scholarships and retrospective scholarships. Retrospective awards to cover all tuition fees (up to 12,000 Pounds Sterling) are available for particularly exceptional students. Entrance Scholarship awards are available to any student  and these have a maximum value of 2,000 Pounds Sterling. All Scholarship applications should be made to the Office for Student Finance.

Applications and Prerequisites
Applications should be made directly to the programme coordinator. An online application link is available on this page. Alternatively, you can apply via the Department of Student Admissions. A general application from is available to download on the page.

Prerequisites: First or second class Honours degree from a British university, or an equivalent qualification and experience. Overseas students whose first language is not English, for consideration require IELTS 6.0 to 7.0 or equivalent TOEFL or CBTOEFL.

Start-Date and Duration
This programme starts each academic semester in September and March. First stage: One academic year, approximately 9 months. Second stage: concurrent with stage one. Third stage: between 4 and 18 months.
