Hospitality Training Association Inc (HTA) is a non-profit organisation that has been serving the needs of the Hospitality industry for over twenty years. HTA was originally established by the Hospitality and Tourism industries to ensure there was relevant industry focused services available. This industry focus remains today.

HTA’s goal is to provide a continuity of skills formation, employment and personal development to all students. This is delivered through quality hands-on training and employment management designed to match the needs, standards and expectations of the Hospitality industry and its stakeholders.

HTA consists of a number of specialised departments that are able to offer comprehensive, flexible, responsive and costeffective employment and training services to employers, Jobseekers, Apprentices and Trainees, schools and students and the community in general.

HTA has earned the respect of Government, Industry and industry Bodies through its professionalism and dedication to training. HTA was the first Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO) accredited to deliver Apprenticeship training and is now the largest employer of Apprentice cooks and baker pastry cooks in Queensland.

Hospitality Training Association Inc. (HTA) College is a not-forprofit, private training organisation established in 1992 to provide training in a wide range of areas of Hospitality and Tourism. Since then, HTA College has assisted thousands of young people obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to gain a head start in their hospitality careers.

HTA Group Training employs hospitality Apprentices and Trainees then places them in industry with ‘Host Employers’ for agreed periods. When the agreed period is finished, HTA Group Training will find the Apprentice or Trainee a job with a different Host Employer. (This is called a ‘rotational training system’)

The aim is to provide employment flexibility for employers and varied on-the-job experience, combined with training for Apprentices and Trainees.

HTA Group Training manages and simplifies the process for all parties.

Diploma of Hospitality Management Career oppurtunities: Following successful completion of the Diploma and appropriate experience participants may find employment in operational and supervisory positions in a variety of tourism and hospitality establishments world wide. Positions may include: Functions/Catering Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Restaurant Manager, Concierge, Purchasing Officer, Guest Service Manager. Certificate III in Hospitality (Food and Beverage) Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) Certificate III in Hospitality (Accommodation Services) Certificate IV in Hospitality Career oppurtunities: Following successful completion of the chosen Certificate and appropriate experience, participants may find employment in operational positions in a variety of tourism and hospitality establishments world wide. Positions may include: Food attendant, Cooks assistant, Bar Attendant, Cellar person, Food service waiter, Coffee shop waiter., reservation clerk, receptionist or porter.
